Our Story

Wanderer is a Cape Town tour and travel company built around a simple idea: the best way to experience this city and country is privately, at your own pace, with someone who actually lives here. We plan and run private guided tours, wine days, safaris, activities, transfers, chauffeur services, accommodation and multi-day South African itineraries — all under one roof.
Every trip is put together by hand. There are no shared coaches, no fixed departure schedules and no rushed lunches at partner restaurants. Instead, we sit down with each guest, learn how they like to travel, and build a route around them. The result is a slower, calmer, more considered way of moving through Cape Town — closer to how a local friend would design your visit than how a mass tour would.
Our vehicles, drivers, guides and reservations team are all in-house. That means the person you speak with when you enquire is connected directly to the person who greets you at the hotel, the person driving the matte-black Mercedes and the person planning where the day should go next. Nothing gets lost in translation.
