Wanderer Tours and Travel is a Cape Town–based boutique operator specialising exclusively in private, personalised tours. We never group strangers together, our guides are registered with the Western Cape, and we run a fleet of luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Private Cape Town day tours start from around R4,500 per vehicle (not per person) for up to six guests, including a registered guide, fuel and all park-style entrance facilitation. Multi-day and Garden Route tours are quoted on consultation.

Our Mercedes V-Class seats up to 7 guests, the GL SUV up to 6, and the Sprinter up to 14. We size the vehicle to your group so there are no empty seats and no strangers.

We recommend booking 2–4 weeks ahead for peak season (November–March) and major events. For shoulder and off-peak periods, 5–7 days' notice is usually enough.

October to April delivers warm, dry summer days and long evenings — ideal for wine tours, beaches and Cape Point. May to September brings dramatic skies, whale watching (Jun–Dec) and quieter wine estates.

Yes. Private touring is the most family-friendly format because the itinerary, pacing, snack stops and music are entirely yours. We supply child seats and booster seats on request at no extra charge.

Yes — we are experienced cruise-passenger operators. We meet you at the V&A Waterfront or Cape Town Cruise Terminal, build the itinerary around your ship's all-aboard time, and guarantee return with a buffer.

Every private tour includes a luxury vehicle with chauffeur, a registered guide, fuel, bottled water, WiFi where available and full itinerary flexibility on the day. Entrance fees, meals and activities are extra and billed at cost.

Customisation is the default, not a premium. Tell us what you love — food, photography, wildlife, history, wine, hiking — and we build the day around it.

All Wanderer guides are registered Western Cape tourist guides. Our vehicles carry full passenger-liability insurance and we operate under a licensed South African tour operator registration.

With a private guide it is very safe. Our guides know which areas are appropriate, when, and they handle all logistics — parking, route choice, photo-stop security — so you travel confidently.

Stellenbosch is 45 minutes from central Cape Town; Franschhoek about an hour. A full Cape Winelands tour typically runs 8–9 hours door to door.

Yes — Boulders is included as standard on our Cape Point Tour. We time the visit around tide and crowds for the best photographs.

Southern Right whales calve in False Bay and Walker Bay from June to early December, peaking September–October. Hermanus is the whale-watching capital.

Multi-day Garden Route tours typically cover Hermanus, Mossel Bay, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Tsitsikamma and Addo Elephant Park. Accommodation, transport, guiding and route planning are arranged end-to-end.

Yes — through our accommodation arm we book boutique hotels, lodges and private villas, often at preferred rates, and integrate them into your tour itinerary seamlessly.

Yes — we run day, overnight and multi-day safaris to Aquila, Inverdoorn, Gondwana, Sanbona and further afield to Addo and Kruger. The Big Five within a 2-hour drive is real.

Yes — our chauffeur service covers point-to-point transfers, restaurant pick-ups, event transport and full-day on-call use. Same luxury fleet, same registered chauffeurs.

Credit card, EFT and major international transfer methods. A small deposit secures the booking; the balance is due before tour commencement.
