Wanderer Tours and Travel is a Cape Town–based boutique operator specialising exclusively in private, personalised tours. We never group strangers together, our guides are registered with the Western Cape, and we run a fleet of luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Private Cape Town day tours start from around R4,500 per vehicle (not per person) for up to six guests, including a registered guide, fuel and all park-style entrance facilitation. Multi-day and Garden Route tours are quoted on consultation.
Our Mercedes V-Class seats up to 7 guests, the GL SUV up to 6, and the Sprinter up to 14. We size the vehicle to your group so there are no empty seats and no strangers.
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks ahead for peak season (November–March) and major events. For shoulder and off-peak periods, 5–7 days' notice is usually enough.
October to April delivers warm, dry summer days and long evenings — ideal for wine tours, beaches and Cape Point. May to September brings dramatic skies, whale watching (Jun–Dec) and quieter wine estates.
Yes. Private touring is the most family-friendly format because the itinerary, pacing, snack stops and music are entirely yours. We supply child seats and booster seats on request at no extra charge.
Yes — we are experienced cruise-passenger operators. We meet you at the V&A Waterfront or Cape Town Cruise Terminal, build the itinerary around your ship's all-aboard time, and guarantee return with a buffer.
Every private tour includes a luxury vehicle with chauffeur, a registered guide, fuel, bottled water, WiFi where available and full itinerary flexibility on the day. Entrance fees, meals and activities are extra and billed at cost.

Stellenbosch is 45 minutes from central Cape Town; Franschhoek about an hour. A full Cape Winelands tour typically runs 8–9 hours door to door.
Yes — Boulders is included as standard on our Cape Point Tour. We time the visit around tide and crowds for the best photographs.
