Terms and Conditions
Everything you need to know before booking a private Cape Town tour, transfer or travel experience with Wanderer.
These are the booking terms, cancellation policy and general conditions of service for tours, transfers, chauffeur services, activities, accommodation support and travel services arranged by Wanderer Tours and Travel.
Booking Confirmation
- A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking.
- The balance is payable no later than 14 days before the service date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Online bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- Wanderer Tours and Travel reserves the right to cancel bookings made within 48 hours of the requested service if availability, supplier confirmation or operational requirements cannot be met.
Our Commitment to Safety
Wanderer Tours and Travel works with trusted industry suppliers, professional drivers, registered guides and reputable service providers.
Vehicles used for tours, transfers and chauffeur services are sourced from approved suppliers and, where applicable, include passenger liability cover and the relevant operating permits.
Vehicles are required to carry basic safety equipment, including a first aid kit.
Wanderer Tours and Travel may make use of freelance drivers and tour guides. This allows us to match each service with the most suitable professional based on client needs, service quality, performance and guest satisfaction.
- All drivers are required to hold the appropriate public driving permits.
- All tour guides are required to be certified by the relevant tourism authority.
- For a smaller private tour, your tour guide may also be your driver, provided they hold both the required guide certification and public driving permit.
Itinerary Changes
Wanderer Tours and Travel will always aim to deliver the itinerary as agreed. However, certain factors may affect the route, timing or availability of services on the day. These may include weather conditions, natural events, accidents, road closures, supplier delays, attraction closures, safety concerns or circumstances outside our control.
Where itinerary changes are required, clients will be informed and reasonable alternative arrangements of similar value will be made where possible.
Wanderer Tours and Travel is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.

If Wanderer Tours and Travel has to cancel a confirmed booking, the client will be refunded in full.
If part of a tour, activity or service is cancelled by a third-party operator for reasons outside Wanderer Tours and Travel’s control, an alternative of similar value will be offered where possible. If no suitable alternative is available, a refund may be provided for that specific cancelled activity or service.
Additional Services
Wanderer Tours and Travel is a Cape Town tour operator. As part of our service, we may assist clients with booking accommodation, restaurants, activities, attractions, transfers, safari lodges, experiences and other third-party services.
Where a booking is made with a third-party establishment, supplier or operator, that booking may also be subject to the terms and conditions of that establishment, supplier or operator.
Wanderer Tours and Travel will assist where possible, but cannot be held responsible for changes, cancellations, delays, service issues or policies imposed by third-party providers.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all clients.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have suitable travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical needs, personal belongings, delays, missed connections, supplier cancellations and any activities they choose to participate in.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for providing accurate booking information, including travel dates, collection details, passenger numbers, special requests, flight details and contact information.
Clients should arrive on time for tours, transfers and scheduled services.
Delays caused by the client may affect the itinerary and may result in shortened service time.
